We were counting on Innisfree Green Cafe to deliver what we expected to be a satisfying detox breakfast for all of us.
Love the garden-like vibe that took us by surprise when we were last here for our midnight snacks in 2018.
I could only wish we have something like this in Hong Kong!
A change of pace on the other side of the cafe without the lush green.
These were exactly what we were talking about when I said detox breakfast - fruit salad, smoothie and more.
Fruit Orem Toast (8,500 won) - We started things off with a pair of toast made with sourdough bread.
One was topped with banana, dried raisins, pumpkin seeds and fig (can't see the fig from here as they were all covered by the banana) while the other came with kiwi, orange and grapefruit.
Not a bad way to start our morning.
Pony Green tea tiramisu (7,500 won) - Too early for dessert? No way...
Look at the lovely artwork on top of the tiramisu. Gorgeous!
Green tea latte (6,000 won) - For drinks, I went with a glass of iced green tea latte.
I was surprised with the amount of milk in there but not to worry as it came with this intense green tea syrup on the side.
Soufflé Hotcakes (10,000 won) - To wrap things up, we ordered these Japanese style soufflé hotcakes which took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. It looked a lot like the ones from A Happy Pancake or Flipper's but I wonder if they're equally tasty.
These weren't as fluffy and light as the ones in Japan but pretty close (Artwork credit: My son).
In case you're interested in the full menu, here's the current one below.
What a nice start to our first morning in Seoul! Now, somehow I need to figure out the fastest way to get to Gangnam.
