Ihwasoo Jeongtong Yukgaejang (Seoul, SOUTH KOREA) ★★★☆☆

We decided to go back to Ihwasoo Jeongtong Yukgaejang for our first meal of this trip after completing the check-in process at the hotel (Courtyard Marriott Namdaemun again due to our familiarity of the hotel and nearby area). Not that we've fallen in love with this place after we paid our last visit in 2016 when our little nugget was only 5 months old. But it's just a 3-minute walk from the hotel so everyone was happy with the short walk.

Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Ihwasoo Jeongtong Yukgaejang is a traditional Korean restaurant specializing in bossam (pork belly) and jokbal (pig's trotters). Since all of us only had a couple of croissants under the belt since early this morning, I knew we could afford the entire pig's trotter this time around.

First, a large bowl of noodles with pork and vegetable dumplings for our little one. Judging by his facial expression, he must be starving.

We were having the same pork and vegetable dumplings without the noodles.

This was pretty tasty. Very fluffy thanks to the stuffing of minced pork and diced vegetables (leeks?).

Some condiments and side dishes to go along with jokbal including lettuce, green peppers, mul kimchi, kimchi, shredded radish, and buchu (Korean leek).

We ordered bossam (pork belly) here last time around and it was pretty dry and bland. Perhaps jokbal (pig's trotters) would be a better choice?

This was way better! The meat was moist and succulent.

Just a very nice proportion of skin, fat and meat there. Some Korean chili paste to go with it on the bed of lettuce already made it very delicious.

Now, let the shopping spree begin!
