We decided to put our time at Haevichi Hotel and Resort to good use this afternoon. Following our relaxing lunch (long one!) at Sum Mora, we spent some time checking out the hotel's other facilities including Margaux.
Margaux is a French boulangerie, patisserie and coffee shop all combined in one small space.
They offer a small selection of homemade bread, pastries and chocolates, and some decent coffee (if you're not too picky) to go with them.
Bread are mainly French style but with the occasional Asian twist.
I got some for our breakfast tomorrow morning.
Kaya bread (4,000 won) - I've seen a lot of kaya on this Korean trip, which was a little unexpected.
The kaya bread was really flaky and the filling of kaya was very addictive. I don't really think we need the fresh cream in there since kaya alone is more than enough to do the job.
Green tea scone (4,200 won) - Pretty crunchy. Not bad.
I wanted to try one of their éclairs too (chocolate, caramel and vanilla).
Caramel éclair (7,500 won) - I couldn't believe a tiny éclair like this set me back 7,500 won (almost ~HK$50)! But this was seriously good. The choux pastry in particular was very pillowy the way it should be.
