Restaurante Platão 九如坊 (Macau, CHINA) ★★★☆☆

Ever since I was introduced to Restaurante Platão by my former boss a few years ago, I have been finding excuses to visit this place whenever I came to Macau.

Restaurante Platão is helmed by Chef Lou who used to cook for the governors of Macau in the past. For the past decade, it has been serving modern Portuguese dishes with a local twist. Chef Lou has a long list of signature dishes including roasted pigeon, pan-seared crab cakes and rack of lamb that promise to tantalize your taste buds.

As always, we started with the signature crab cakes.

It was followed by the "African chicken" with the house special sauce. A little spicy but very flavorful and exciting for our palates.

Restaurante Platão was one of the first restaurants to make this serradura cake and now it's everywhere in Macau and Hong Kong. Still one of the best dessert I've ever tasted in Macau!

Robuchon a Galera (Macau, CHINA) ★★★★☆

Robuchon a Galera is the leading French fine dining restaurant and my "go-to" place in Macau. The restaurant is one of the many Michelin-starred eatery brought to us by the grand master of French dining, Chef Joël Robuchon.

The lush gold and blue décor may be a little intimidating at times but not to worry. Lunch here is actually more of a casual affair while dinner is more about haute cuisine.

Our amuse bouche was a foie gras mousse with cauliflower foam. Lovely~

Our first starter, crab meat with sea urchin jelly was just as splendid.

Chestnut soup with crouton was silky smooth and very delicate.

The two main courses (beef and lamb) were equally as competent as the starters. Too bad I was too busy enjoying every bite of them that I actually forgot to take pictures. What a shame.....
