People around the world are obsessed with Korean banana milk, especially Binggrae's signature banana milk that took the Korean market by storm when they first came out with their iconic banana drink back in 1974.
To pay homage to their banana desserts, the brand has opened Yellow Café in the resort area of Seogwipo on Jeju Island, a space dedicated to all things about banana including banana flavored tea, milkshake, ice-cream and tiramisu.
Apart from banana themed sweets, fans will also be treated to some of their own designer items such as shopping bags and toys.
It's truly a Yellow World here at Yellow Café.
After a short walk in their gift shop, we turned our attention to the cafe section.
Sitting in the middle of the cafe is a giant model of a small town (fictional one of course) with a factory producing their iconic banana milk.
And high above the mountain is their Yellow Café!
It was one of the hottest day in Jeju this year so not surprisingly, everyone wanted a drink before leaving Yellow Café.
While we were busy tackling the drink menu, little one decided to take a closer look at the cafe (or their furniture).
More specifically, testing the elasticity of these sofa covers!!!
The drink and dessert menu here is a very simple one. Just a single A4 page.
Banana milk ice-cream (₩3,000) - We all decided to pass on all their house specialties including their cube bread with banana ice-cream (₩8,000), banana tiramisu (₩5,500), and banana cheesecake bagel (₩4,800) and go with something simple here - their banana milk ice-cream. This was very creamy with rich banana flavor. A very good choice in a hot summer day like this one.
Banana milkshake with ice-cream (₩6,000) - This tasted a little more like a smoothie than a milkshake but the scoop of banana ice-cream kind of made up for it. Not bad.
Yellow Café is located just across the street from Jeju's legendary Teddy Bear Museum. Make it part of your itinerary if you're a fan of Binggrae's banana flavored milk beverage like us!
