Cafe On 제주카페온 (Jeju, SOUTH KOREA) ★★★★☆

Everyone had a good night of sleep last night so I guess we will have time for breakfast before climbing Hallasan after all.

Fortunately, I already had something planned in advance, brunch and coffee at Cafe On (제주카페온), a European style cafe just a few blocks away from Sisters Noodles (Jamae Guksu 자매국수) where we had dinner last night.

This charming little coffee shop already exceeded our expectation and we haven't even started our brunch yet.

The place was so well-decorated. It's exactly how I would like to decorate my own house (if I ever get one)!

You can tell the owner has really put in a lot of thoughts to make this a warm and cozy cafe.

They don't have a very sophisticated all-day food menu here, just 6 items.

Apart from the food menu, some homemade pound cakes and cookies as well as take-away options like fruit salad and sandwiches.

Once we placed our orders, we just sat back, took some selfies and patiently waited for our brunch to be ready. With just the owner-chef around, we knew it's going to take time.

After half an hour or so, our breakfast was finally ready to be served. Take a look at this! A very nice collection of hearty dishes. Perfect to start the morning with...

A full English breakfast (11,000 won) with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and more. Very nicely plated, and the sausage was so meaty!

The French toast with caramelized banana (9,500 won) wasn't bad at all. Apart from the maple syrup served on the side, there were also a bed of cherry tomatoes and grapes to make this a very healthy breakfast dish.

Probably the best-looking dish from the trio. The scrambled egg toast (8,000 won) topped with rocket leaves and prawns, was finished off beautifully with some crispy bacon and crushed peanuts! Very instagrammable (sorry for the blurry photo) and very tasty.

It was a warm morning in Jeju so some iced beverages to cool things off. Now looking back, just half an hour to get all these dishes and drinks ready. That's very efficient work.

The chocolate dipped madeleine (2,500 won) was pretty nice too and look how cute the plate looked!

Jeju Island is one of the most difficult places to do research on for a trip (especially restaurants and cafes). I honestly don't remember where I come up with Cafe On during my month-long research but I'm glad I find them.
