I still have one unfinished business to attend to at IFC Mall so before rushing back to The Hyundai Seoul, I had to make sure that we would pass Café Knotted ((카페 노티드) on our way back.
From what I understand, Café Knotted first opened near Dosan Park as a café and pastry shop in 2017. As I wrote here in 2019, they underwent a transformation into a doughnut shop that year much to my joy and business really took off then. Now, they are everywhere from Anguk, Gangnam (new location) to Jamsil and this one......
The doughnut flavors are more or less the same as 2019. It was nice to see my favorite kaya butter and earl grey flavors still sticking around.
While they no longer have different types of pastries available on their menu, there was a whole new bakery section added to the mix including something they called "creamy", a butter brioche that came in three flavors, strawberry, blueberry and chestnut. That looks like something mom would enjoy eating.

Of course, I had to get into the act.
Oreo croissant – A very eye-catching croissant. The Oreo crust (with real Oreo cookies) was a pretty nice touch. I was curious to see the fillings inside and secretly, I was hoping that there would be Oreo flavored custard cream there to match the theme but disappointingly, there was only light whipped cream and nothing more.
Earl grey doughnut – Still very light and pillowy. Still an excellent choice. And no, I didn't get the kaya butter doughnut this time cuz I was trying to cut down on my consumption of sweets.
This pretty much wraps up our time at the IFC Mall. Time to get back to The Hyundai Seoul and explore the upper levels which include the Sound Forest and more...
