Little nugget's spring break adventure continues today at Shek O Beach (石澳泳灘) as we spend a lazy afternoon with a few of his buddies and their family. It was raining hard last night so many of us thought the beach would be flooded today but miraculously that wasn't the case.
It didn't take long for little one to get started with his shovel and bucket.
And of course, once he got warmed up, his water pistols all "charged up" in battle mode.
But how he did in his battles I would never find out cuz I was a 5-minute walk away from the beach with the rest of the dads. We were sitting around at Cheung Poon Kee (張泮記) talking about the kids' school life, parenting and more.
Most of us haven't had breakfast yet (it was about 12pm already checking my phone) so we decided it was time for a quick brunch.
Iced milk tea (凍奶茶) – The tea was very strong but without the typical aromatic flavors (from the blending of different tea leaves together). But we were hundred of miles away from civilization so just happy to have something to whet our appetite while we talked about our kids.
Yangzhou Fried Rice (揚州炒飯) – Pretty decent.
Singaporean style fried instant noodles (星洲炒公仔麵) – I like this dish cuz its presentation already put a smile on my face with the sunny side up egg. The instant noodles were stir-fried nicely with the usual ingredients from a Singapore rice noodles (星洲炒米粉). I like the local twist. I really do.
