After taking some time to check out the neighboring IFC Mall, we returned to the Hyundai Seoul to spend more time exploring the shopping mall’s upper levels.
The forest themed mall boasts around a million square feet of real estate with luxury local and international brands, restaurants and cafes spread over 12 floors.
The waterfall garden on the first floor is a retreat for the senses.
Sounds Forest on the 5th floor is filled with grass, trees and flowers 🌸 to mimic a real garden.
Little nugget has been under the weather for the last couple of days now, despite no flu symptoms. And the fact that he couldn’t fall asleep last night really took a toll on him. He tried to tough it out for the majority of the day but his battery finally ran out.
The poor kid slept for an hour on a chair in the food hall level and he’s ready to roll again. Since we have already cancelled our dinner plans for tonight, we thought we might as well have a quick one here at the food hall.
What else would little one be having for dinner, other than Japanese ramen noodles?

Well, I read about Eggslut one week before this trip. First started out as a food truck in Los Angeles, the American gourmet sandwich chain has now expanded around the globe including London, Singapore, Tokyo and Seoul. There are currently 3 locations in Seoul (Coex, Itaewon and here). Their next destination? Hong Kong! Their first location will be in Causeway Bay.
Best known for their decadent egg sandwiches and fluffy brioche buns, Eggslut offers a menu that strikes a balance between comfort and innovation.
La Vibe (14,300 won) – I thought I might as well get the most expensive sandwich here (check that, second most expensive one behind the wagyu). This came with hardwood smoked bacon, cage-free over medium egg, ground Angus beef and cheddar cheese in a warm toasted brioche bun.
What won me over was that warm and buttery brioche bun. It was such a stark contrast to the cold and stone-hard buns from most burger joints. I like the smoky bacons and egg too. The cheese and beef patty, not so much.
