We were all ready to head back to our hotel. It's been a long and productive day at the ski ground. Everyone just wanted to take a quick shower and crash early.
But while we were heading down the passage to Tokyo subway station, little nugget spotted this photo in front of Fruit Parlor Kajitsuen (果実園). Bad news for everybody!
Located near Yaesu North Exit (八重洲北口) of JR Tokyo Station (東京駅), Fruit Parlor Kajitsuen is a popular dessert café famous for its beautifully crafted fruit-based desserts. It specializes in high-quality, seasonal fruits presented in a variety of forms, such as parfaits, sandwiches, cakes and fruit plates.
Strawberry parfait (2,400yen) – This is what this kid came here for!
I wasn't sure if it's worth the heavy price tag but little nugget seemed to be enjoying each bite of it.
Strawberry shortcake (?) – I had the strawberry shortcake myself. This was one of the rare times when there were more strawberries in the cake than fresh cream and sponge combined. 😆😆
I didn't think any of us enjoyed this sweet adventure especially when our energy was almost depleted (to zero!). But seeing how much little nugget has enjoyed his parfait made us all very happy for him.
