My morning stroll through Tsukiji Outer Market (築地場外市場) turned out to be far more than I had bargained for. Following a pretty nice breakfast at Toritoh Bunten (鳥めし鳥藤分店), I wandered around the narrow streets of the market exploring a few small vendors before stumbling upon Teatro eFfe Tokyo on my way out.
Teatro eFfe Tokyo is a small coffee shop on the edge of the market with a tiny dine-in area.
Their specialty lies in their baked goods with their signature cream puffs being a standout.
Also very popular around here are their Basque cheesecakes and tiramisu.
And they have the perfect drinks to match their desserts too. Check this out, cheesecake drink and tiramisu drink!
Since I needed to get back to our hotel to meet up with the gang, I only had time to grab a couple of these (400 yen each) on the go.
The crispy crust reminded me of our Hong Kong-style pineapple buns.
Look at the generous amount of custard cream in the middle. Right up my alley!
I will definitely come back for my cheesecake drink or tiramisu drink some other time.
