I have been spending the bulk of the morning in Admiralty, pinballing between the offices of two specialists. By the time I was done, it was already 1:30pm. Time for a very late lunch.
It's been a while since I last sat down for a meal at Shake Shack so without further ado, I ventured over to their outpost in Pacific Place. Rumors had that they have recently launched a new limited-time-only milkshake.
Didn't take long before my beeper sounded off signaling that my order was ready.
Tiramisu shake – A blend of mascarpone cheese and coffee with hand-spun vanilla frozen custard topped with whipped cream, cocoa powder and a ladyfinger cookie. Yeah, it really felt like having a tiramisu cake but in liquid form!
Avocado Bacon Chicken Burger – A thick slice of deep-fried chicken breast with freshly sliced avocado, Niman Ranch applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, pickles and Shake Shack's 0wn buttermilk herb mayo.
The chicken breast was fairly juicy, and there was the smoky flavors from the bacon and mayo. I was hoping that the freshly sliced avocado could stand out a little more (from an avocado freak).
I accidentally ran into the under-construction Armani Caffe upstairs. Is this the first of its kind in Hong Kong?
