We have got our tickets to bring us back to Tokyo Station at 6pm. Only 75 minutes to go and we were stuck at Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza. Guess there's only one logical solution: afternoon tea, anyone?
L'Occitane Café is a charming café concept by L'Occitane en Provence, the famous French skincare and fragrance brand. It offers a unique fusion of Provençal flavors and French-inspired cuisine, often paired with a cozy ambiance that reflects the brand's signature aesthetic.
We have bumped into their Shibuya location on many occasions but this was really our very first encounter up close and personal.
Almond milk hot chocolate (980yen) – The richness of the hot chocolate was nicely complemented by the nutty fragrance of the almond milk. Interesting mix.
Smoked salmon and avocado sandwich (1,780yen) – This was served with a small cup of pumpkin soup.
I love how they used two croffles, the genius hybrid of a croissant and a waffle as the buns for the sandwich. The result? A crispy, caramelized exterior with a soft, flaky interior that’s meshed perfectly with the smoked salmon, avocado and mayo.
