Sunday Vegan Donut (Tokyo, JAPAN) ★★★★☆

As soon as we arrived in Kichijōji (吉祥寺), we hit the ground finding our way towards Nanaibashi-dori, the shopping street that leads directly to Kichijōji Inokashira Park (井之頭公園).

On our way to the park, I unexpectedly came across one of the biggest discoveries of our trip to Kichijōji  Sunday Vegan Donut.

Sunday Vegan Donut is a popular donut shop in Kichijōji best known for its delicious, plant-based treats.

The shop offers a variety of flavors including classic sugar-coated, chocolate, matcha, and seasonal specials.

When it comes to donuts, I like it simple and these cream custard donuts are perfect.

They have a small dine-in area making it the ideal spot to sit down and enjoy one of their delicious cream-filled donuts.

Cream donut (330 yen) – With an "Our Recommendation" label all over it, it was a no-brainer.

This came with a nice sprinkle of sugar on top, or was it sugar?

Most vegan desserts don't really taste good but this one is an exception. It was delicious and wonderfully light.

It was a short walk from Sunday Vegan Donut to Inokashira Pond (井の頭池).

And it didn't take long for us to spot our next destination in the park.

Inokashira Benzaiten (井の頭弁財天 大盛寺), the shrine dedicated to Benzaiten, the goddess of music, art, and knowledge, who is one of the Seven Lucky Gods in Japanese mythology, from what I heard.

This guy enjoyed his walk around the park.
