Founded in 2017, Truffle Bakery has slowly become one of the most popular bakeries in Japan with 17 locations around Japan, including its flagship store and TRUFFLE mini stores. As its name suggests, the bakery specializes in bread and other baked goods infused with truffle, highlighted by its signature white truffle salt bread. Late last year, the brand opened its first overseas store right here in Hong Kong (actually Causeway Bay). I have yet to pay them a visit but online reviews have been pretty so far I heard. But tonight, I got an unexpected visit to TRUFFLE mini at Tokyo Station just when we were dragging our tired bodies along following a full day of snowboarding (actually it's little nugget who was doing the snowboarding but we did wake up early for it!).
I would never say no to late-night snacks!
Red bean and butter – French brioche (more like a baguette) with Japanese red bean paste and salted butter. The bread has been infused with truffle so there was a bit of extra fragrance to go with the sweetness of the red bean. I didn't think I would like it to be honest but I love this~
