After some more arcade gaming at Gigo and Namco, we decided to head up to the 17th floor of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower for some frozen sweetness.
Jam17 Gelateria is brought to us by the folks behind Jam17 Dining & Bar, a restaurant and café located next to the gelato shop. From what I understand, it's also part of Hotel Groove, one of the two hotels housed in the same building.
Jam17 offers a selection of 12 different flavors of gelato, all of which are freshly made on the spot.
One of the things I like about Jam17 is its open rooftop terrace with skyscraping view of Shinjuku and its neighbouring area. A perfect spot for selfies.
I shared two scoops (700 yen) of gelato with Jelloman but neither of us seemed to be satisfied with it.
The sweet potato and pistachio flavors both failed to impress. Just thought there was a lack of creaminess in there. The complimentary slab of watermelon gelato was a nice gesture but that didn't really help the cause.
