The good news this week was that little nugget escaped another round of school assessment. The bad news? He didn’t perform all that well. Although the results were not as bad as the final assessment last year, the writing was on the wall. He was due for more exercise and training. Needless to say, our weekend will be full of closed-door sessions with a lot of yelling and weeping behind the scene.
As usual, I took on the cheerleader role and cheer on our “trainer” and “athlete”. Since little nugget has been asking for his favorite pancake burger from NMNL all week, I decided to kindly grant the little kid his wish.
We weren’t going to waste time venturing over to Shek Kip Mei so we put our faith in the capable hands of our food delivery services. A little less than an hour later, the “package” was readily sitting on our dining table waiting to be served. Efficient 👍🏻
Signature pancake burger – We put it into our oven for a quick reheat and surprisingly, this tasted almost exactly the same as it was served up at NMNL, without missing a beat. The extra portobello mushroom came through nicely forming a formidable partnership with the crispy bacon, fried egg and fluffy pancakes. 🥞 Little nugget’s a happy camper.
NMNL's wagyu cheese burger – I diligently cut the yolk open and let the beef soak it up. This wasn’t bad. The cheese fries was disappointingly small in size but we weren’t all that hungry tonight so that worked out just fine for everybody.
Dinner’s over. Time to get back to work now!
