The Lobby Lounge at The Ritz Carlton Osaka (Osaka, JAPAN) ★★★★☆

Somehow, whenever I return to Osaka for a visit, I always end up back at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka.

The Lobby Lounge at The Ritz Carlton Osaka is my ultimate sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of city life.

For the first time, I was shown to a cozy table tucked away in the deepest corner of the lounge, complete with a plush sofa seat. It was the perfect spot to enjoy the soothing sounds of live music, paired with a sweet treat and a sip of tea.

My server was quick to present the day's selection of pastries to me but as always, I ended up going to their gourmet shop to pick out my own choice of dessert.

Mango cake (1,200 yen) – A dessert packed with exotic tropical flavors. 



Underneath the rich mango mousse was a luscious blend of coconut cream and fresh mango compote (and what I thought was almond dacquoise) all resting on a crunchy biscuit base. A beautiful medley of contrasting textures and vibrant flavors.

With such a packed schedule on this trip, it was a real treat to find a quiet moment like this to chill and enjoy a cup of tea.
