La Fabrique Givrée (Lyon, FRANCE) ★★★☆☆

We started our stroll around Lyon's Old Town with a quick visit to Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste before hitting our stride onto the walking street of Rue Saint-Jean. This place looked all too familiar for us as we had a pretty similar itinerary back in 2016.

It was then that we stumbled upon La Fabrique Givrée, an artisanal ice-cream parlor we visited 8 years ago who focuses on using local, natural and seasonal ingredients.

This was the table we had our ice-cream last time around! Back then, little nugget was just 6 months old (and he didn't join our trip).....

Pistachio, marron and vanilla
(€7.5) – All three scoops of ice-cream were very creamy but I really like the pistachio a little more thanks to its nutty and deep flavors. The marron one wasn't better but the texture was a bit sticky like a marron purée.

Really glad that this guy tagged along with us on this trip. As much as he complained about the busy schedule, I was pretty sure that he was enjoying every moment of it.

A photo with big guy in front of Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste just before our ice-cream. Were my eyes deceiving me or did my little boy really put on some weight during this journey?
