Aux délices de la Chouette (Dijon, FRANCE) ★★★☆☆

Aux délices de la chouette (Maison Blanchard) is a small family-run boulangerie and patisserie situated next to the iconic Église Notre-Dame de Dijon. Opened for nearly two decades, it was the brainchild of Catherine and Laurent Blanchard, but has since been passed to their children for continuing with their tradition.

The bakery cum cake shop is known for its simple but hearty French pastries including lemon tarts, eclairs and Paris brest, as well as its bakery goods.

Another popular item here is its Huguette, a cute owl-shaped pastry (Dijon's Owl is the town mascot).

Vanilla Éclair (3) – While the traditional pastries here were less refined than those from Maison Paroty Dijon Théâtre, they were equally delectable.

The eclair with vanilla glaze (especially the choux pastry) was so light and airy.

This gave me another chance to take a few more photos of Église Notre-Dame de Dijon, while I was enjoying my eclair.
