Butterfly Pâtisserie at Rosewood Hôtel de Crillon (Paris, FRANCE) ★★★★☆

We decided to take it easy on our last day in Paris before our Southern France tour officially starts tomorrow. After a relaxing lunch at Le Violon d'Ingres, we made time for a quick wander through the 7th arrondissement before shifting our focus to the iconic Eiffel Tower.


By late afternoon, we found ourselves back near the Petit Palais, on our way to Place de la Concorde. With many main roads blocked in the aftermath of the Summer Olympics, we hit a bit of a dilemma: should we head further east toward the Louvre Museum — again!?



Before we could settle the debate, the scorching heat got the best of us, and we decided to slow down with a leisurely tea break first.



Butterfly Pâtisserie at Rosewood Hôtel de Crillon was an easy choice. We loved the one at Rosewood Hong Kong so much, it felt only natural to return for another round.



A few of the pastries especially their signature mille-feuille looked strikingly familiar.



Time to head to the tea salon and finally settle down!


Old-fashioned hot chocolate (18) —  I could never get tired of decadent Parisian hot chocolate. My team kept giving me grief that it was way too hot for a hot drink today, but I wasn’t having any of it.



Peach and raspberries finger (
16) — And yes, I always have room for dessert.



When the fresh tartness of raspberries meets the aromatic sweetness of white peach, it’s refreshingly perfect.



After getting our feet rested for about an hour, it was time to get moving again.



Little nugget wanted to pose like a model in front of the historic Rue Royale. Without thinking twice, I said: “Go for it!!!”
