Our walking tour of Paris continues with Notre-Dame de Paris, a medieval Catholic cathedral on the Île de la Cité and one of the most iconic architecture of the city.
Five years since a terrible fire has destroyed the structure of the cathedral, it's finally due for re-opening on 8th December 2024 following years of restoration work.
After stopping by the Notre Dame for a few photos, it was time to venture over to the neighboring île Saint-Louis to check out some of its art galleries, boutiques and souvenir shops.
But little one has been complaining about his fatigue so we ended up getting a short break at La Flânerie Notre Dame on our way to the island.

La Flânerie Notre Dame is a bakery cum café on the edge of Île de la Cité leading to Pont Saint-Louis.
They have a nice selection of crookies, a hybrid of croissant and cookie which took the internet by storm earlier this year. Too bad I wasn't in the mood for more food.
I did need a frosty drink so I went with this pistachio milkshake which I thought was going to be made with a nice scoop of pistachio ice-cream but as it turned out, it was just vanilla ice-cream with pistachio coulis. I guess I had to work hard to mix those two together without a blender!
