After checking out the Zetland area, Jelloman and I decided to take a slow walk towards Redfern before going our separate ways. But from my research last night, I knew something was going to hold us up; that being Peanut Butter Bar, a peanut-butter specialty cafe on the boundary of Alexandria and Waterloo.
I have never come across a dessert bar and cafe with a menu centered around the decadent peanut butter. Of course, I had to come in for a more in-depth look.
They have got different flavors of cheesecakes and cookies.
Ferrero Cheesecakes and Lotus Cheesecakes, are both very popular around here.
How about a maple bacon peanut butter burger with a secret housemade sauce, marbled beef patties and house-pickled cucumbers, and a peanut butter salted caramel shake?
Launched back in 2017, Peanut Butter Bar's mission is to provide peanut butter lovers a peanut-butter centric menu that's health-focused, protein-heavy, preservative-free and gluten-free.
As a peanut butter fan, it was too much to turn down!

Peanut butter fudge cookie – The peanut butter flavored cookie was finished off with some creamy peanut butter sauce on top. Personally, I found the cookie a little on the hard side. Perhaps something along the line of Ben's Cookies (slightly chewy but in a good way) but with the same intense peanut butter flavor?
Reese's Cheesecake – Really soft and mildly flavored, topped nicely with a thin layer of peanut nut ganache. I like the Oreo cookie crust giving the cheesecake some much needed bite.
I was happy to get this one in the books on our last day in town. It was pretty special to run into a peanut-butter themed cafe, especially one that focuses on eating peanut butter the healthy way.
