We have to rush little nugget to Sai Kung where he will be spending most of the day enjoying water sports activities.
He has his brand new sunglasses with him too. It was the perfect time to showcase it in front of his friends. I told him just make sure to bring it back in one piece.
After dropping him off, Jelloman and I went to the Sai Kung city centre to spend the morning. The first thing we did was to enjoy breakfast at Sai Kung Cafeteria (西貢茶記).
We haven't been back to Sai Kung since 2021 when we enjoyed a meal at Sai Kung Cafeteria, a local canteen-style tea restaurant. This time, we were there for breakfast instead of lunch.
Iced milk tea (凍奶茶) – The tea was pretty aromatic and robust.
Satay beef noodle soup (沙嗲牛肉麵) – The color of the satay beef suggested the seasoning was on the light side and unfortunately, that proved to be the case. Coupled with the rubbery texture of the beef, it confirmed my disappointment.
The set came with a fried egg, piece of ham and buttered toast.
Following breakfast, we took a leisurely walk around Sai Kung seafood street. Surprisingly, it was pretty quiet around the area (well, it was 9:45am.).
The seafood vendors didn't look to be all that busy at this early hour too.
The last time we were here, we said goodbye to our good friends, the Choi family, before they left for the UK. This month, we learned that they’re finally coming back to visit us this summer. Time flies — it’s been four years already!
