I decided to pick up some sourdough egg tarts for my team on the way back to the office. I didn’t expect Bakehouse to have so many ready so early around 10:30 am.
I ended up bringing back 30 of them. Since these tarts are best enjoyed warm, a colleague and I decided to try our luck with the oven in the office pantry. We carefully fired it up and placed the tarts in one by one.
Surprisingly, it worked! The crust retained its flaky, slightly chewy texture while the egg custard came out perfectly warm and comforting.
Still the best sourdough egg tart in town. And they haven't raised the price much since it was first introduced. Still just $12.5!
