This morning, I was handed the job to pick little nugget up at Wu Kai Sha Youth Village late in the afternoon. Just when I was still trying to figure out the way to get there, I found a second part to this mission, to bring little one all the way from Wu Kai Sha to the Ocean Park right after. Sounds like fun!!! 😱😱
After picking the kid up at 5pm, the original plan was to take the MTR via Wu Kau Sha station to Ocean Park but after all the hard work little guy has done during the afternoon, he wanted a nice bowl of ramen noodles as his reward. So, we ended up sitting down at MOSTown (馬鞍山 新港城中心) instead.
Not exactly how I drew it up but we found ourselves behind the counter table at Bashi Ramen (一橋拉麵). Little one was exhausted and he needed something to get him going again.

Tonkotsu ramen – The most basic ramen from Bashi Ramen with barbecued pork, black fungus and bamboo shoot. No marinated egg included here. I thought the broth came across as slightly salty and didn't really carry the depth of flavors typically associated with a pork bone-based soup.
Shrimp broth ramen – A limited-time-only ramen with virtually the same supporting cast as the tonkotsu ramen. I managed to remember ordering the marinated eggs for this one 😆.
I like this a little better than the tonkotsu ramen as the thin noodles were doing a better job clogging up the shrimp broth.
It was nice to spend some father-and-son time together in an area none of us knew very much about. Now, time to wrap things up and head over to the Ocean Park to see the pandas! 🐼🐼🐼
