Café Knotted The Shinsegae Market (Seoul, SOUTH KOREA) ★★★★☆

While his old man was patiently queuing up for a Mont Blanc cake at Biscuiterie M.O. just a stone’s throw away, little nugget decided that he wanted something sweet for tonight’s late-night snack too.

Naturally, he made a beeline for one of the best doughnut spots in Seoul, Café Knotted (also at The Shinsegae Market).

Café Knotted has long been my go-to for doughnuts in Seoul, and their Earl Grey doughnuts remain one of my all-time favorites. They consistently offer one of the best selections in the city, both in terms of flavor and quality.

Apparently, they’ve expanded their offerings to include a new line of baked goods — salted bread filled with custard creams, reminiscent of doughnuts but with a unique twist.

Classic Vanilla Doughnut (₩3,500) – As always, little one knows exactly what he wants. Soft dough filled with decadent vanilla custard cream. It was simple, satisfying, and like all good comfort food — soul-warming.

The Shinsegae Market is a paradise for anyone with a serious sweet tooth. We could’ve easily spent the entire day there, sampling treats and soaking in the atmosphere. But of course, we have another culinary journey waiting for us in Yeoksam-dong.
