We have a pretty packed schedule today, first kicking things off with little nugget's grad photo session in West Kowloon Art Park with his friends. It would be followed by a guided tour of M+ Museum and last but not least, Mother's Day dinner at a secret place (surprise for the moms). I thought we weren't going to have time for lunch but hey, never say never. We managed to squeeze in a quick lunch at ADD+ All-day dining just next to M+ Museum, much to the joy of the moms.
Like its fine dining sister, Restaurant Mosu a few floors up, ADD+ is the brainchild of Lai Sun Group who's been very active in recent months. In fact, their boss was on hand this afternoon to check out the quality of their Chinese-Italian driven menu.

The main dining area was flooded with natural light thanks to all the ceiling-to-floor windows. And needless to say, the panoramic view of the harbour all at one glance.
Little nugget has fallen in love with milkshakes since I introduced him to his first one back in 2020 in London. He won't be thrilled if I didn't offer him this Oreo cookie shake which I had to fight him off a few times just to get a few sips out of it.
Steamed pork and shrimp dumpling with crab roes (櫻花蝦蟹籽燒賣) – Everyone was complimentary about the quality of the dim sums we ordered so far so I wasn't going to pour cold water on it. This was okay but there was no sign of the sakura shrimp (didn't mention in the English version of the menu).
Steamed shrimp dumpling with bamboo shoot (冬筍鮮蝦餃) – They have a version with honey yuzu and crab meat but as a purist when it comes to har gow, I was more than happy to go with the original one. In my opinion, a little better than the siu mai.
Pig intestine congee (生滾及弟粥) – It's been a while since I last had pig's intestines but I'm not always a fan. This wasn't bad but I thought the chefs were guilty of a little heavy-handed with ginger.
Chicken and abalone congee (生滾鮑魚滑雞粥) – A bit better than the congee with intestines because there were abalones in it. Of course, we had to make sure that the moms all got a few slices of the abalone on Mother's Day.
Steamed barbecued pork and preserved vegetables rice rolls (梅菜叉燒腸粉) – A dish with a lot of promise cuz I love both of the ingredients, barbecued pork and preserved vegetables. But the texture and flavor of the preserved vegetables hardly registered.
Spaghetti Marinara (海鮮意大利粉) – In my opinion, perhaps the best dish of the afternoon which was surprising, considering they have a predominantly Chinese food menu. The extra kick from the tomato sauce was pretty nice and I was pleasantly surprised with the abundance of seafood there (prawns, squid etc.).
Pizza Carbonara (卡邦尼薄餅) – This came with toppings of bacon, onion, shallot, cream, eggs, parmesan cheese and parsley. This was fine.
Everyone was happy to soak up the vibe in this bright and airy restaurant. Personally, I thought the food wasn't bad but they didn't warrant the heavy price tag. But then I wasn't the one footing the bill. 😜😜
