Our quest to check out all the restaurants and cafes at The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel during our stay took another positive step forward. After an exhausting trip to the Water World, we came back to the hotel for some much needed rest before heading out again for supper. As there was still another hour to burn, the gang decided to make a stopover at Lighthouse Lounge (星耀廊) on the lobby level for our welcome drinks.
Located just next to Lighthouse Café where we will be having breakfast (and lunch buffet) tomorrow, Lighthouse Lounge offers an all-day food menu with live music.
Before sitting down, I had a sneak preview of the pastries offered here, which looked rather impressive.
Not the way you want to welcome a thirsty man with less than half a glass of cocktail drink. And I wasn't happy with the fact that little nugget wasn't offered anything despite we dropped some extra cash to include him in the reservation (presumably for breakfast and Water World admission; but no welcome drink?).
Rainbow Milkshake – So, we decided to order our own welcome drink for him. This is just a fancy name for a strawberry shake with marshmallow.
Someone was thirstier than daddy!!!
Of course, we had to stop him for a quick photo. 😛
Intensely Chocolate ($58) – The Ferrero Rocher-like chocolate cake came with a crunchy dark chocolate crust.
Hidden underneath the crust were layers of chocolate in different degrees of darkness and textures. The cake was finished off with a chocolate sable base. Not bad.
Banana Toffee ($58) – Always love Banoffee tarts and this looked pretty neat from the outside.
A little light on toffee flavor but otherwise not bad.
We managed not to order too much and leave enough room for the second leg of our doubleheader tonight. It's going to be an old favorite of ours. Stay tuned.
