Yojiya Café Gion よーじやカフェ 祇園四条店 (Kyoto, JAPAN) ★★★☆☆

One of the coffee shops and dessert cafés that is not to be missed if you're cruising around the Gion district is Yojiya Café Gion in Kyoto.

Yojiya is a century-old cosmetic brand based in Kyoto who's famous for their makeup and skincare products. Their oil-blotting sheets are some of the best ones ever made in Japan making them the perfect souvenirs from Kyoto. But they also have a few tea salon or coffee shop (whatever you like to call them) in the city which is pretty famous as well.



Located in bustling Gion district, Yojiya Café Gion is a quiet retreat to the touristy Shijō-dōri (四条通).



A number of drinks that are not to be missed from their drink menu include their cappuccino and green tea cappuccino with the iconic brand logo which is the face of a kokeshi doll.



Here comes one of the most Instagram-worthy cappuccino in all of Kyoto!



There's a cold version without the green tea (called iced but without ice!).



It's so nice to catch a break while our little nugget enjoys his afternoon nap.



Yojiya Café Gion is not a one-trick pony as they have a full dessert menu at your disposal (desserts such as green tea pancake) but drinks with the cute doll face should be the one you have your eyes on at all time.



A lot of people think that Yojiya Café is housed under the same three story building that is also the address of their famous cosmetic shop.



But the truth is, the cafe is located in a separate building right across the street from the cosmetic shop on Shijō-dōri. Here's the address and map below if you're interested.
