Pâtisserie Français Bleu Foncé (Fukuoka, JAPAN) ★★★☆☆

With the juicy Japanese white peaches currently in season, it wasn't a bit surprising to find all these different white peach desserts everywhere in Fukuoka.

We were exploring the food halls at various department stores this afternoon and happened to come across Pâtisserie Français Bleu Foncé, a home grown dessert shop in Fukuoka at the basement of Mitsukoshi (福岡三越店).

Not at all stunned to see different French pastries "dressed" in white peach color. Even these eclairs donning beautiful pink peach color.

Peach eclair
– The custard cream in the middle was flavored with white peach combining well with the pieces of juicy white peaches on top.

Mont Blanc – I thought it was a Mont Blanc cake at first glance but it turned out to be more of a mini Mont Blanc tart at best. Despite the miniature size, they did a good job packing it with silky smooth chestnut purée and I liked the fact that the chestnut wasn't heavily sweetened. Pretty decent.

Jelloman and I each bought a white peach dessert to try ourselves and I had to admit, hers was a little more tasty than mine (more on hers later).
