Compostela (Seoul, SOUTH KOREA) ★★★☆☆

One of the reasons we didn't bother to order dessert at lunch was mainly due to the fact that we knew we would be having desserts in the afternoon at a non-stop pace in Gangnam. There are so many nice dessert cafés in the area so we figured it's going to be a very busy afternoon for our stomach.

Our first stop after leaving Toc Toc was Compostela, a dessert café sitting on the edge of the Dosan Park. They have this clean and sleek décor which was very inviting so we couldn't help ourselves.

Compostela's colorful pastries are all labeled and named after the planets from our solar system.

My little one looks all set and ready.

No. 6 Pluto (7,200₩) - Chestnut cake with spices. The color did look a little out of the ordinary for a chestnut cake.

Very odd that the texture of this actually tasted like a carrot cake but with chunks of poached chestnut in the middle!?

No.1 Saturn (₩7,900) - Chocolate, sesame and coconut nib. This looked much better.

And it tasted a lot better too. There were different layers of chocolate mousse in there with different degree of sweetness and bitterness which was pretty nice but no sign of the sesame?

Compostela opens from Monday to Saturday. Check them out when you happen to be visiting Dosan Park!
