Jelloman is off to her spa treatment as soon as we arrived in Shenzhen so that leaves me and little nugget all by ourselves this afternoon. As usual, we hit the ground running at the arcade centre and at almost 2:30pm, we finally realized that it was time for lunch.
Fortunately, there were more than enough options at Injoy (卓悅匯) and since little one wanted dim sum, I opted to go to a familiar place that I knew the food menu relatively well, Dianduda (點都德).
Judging from the way he ran up the stairs, he must be super hungry.....
Crispy milk custard rolls (流心奶香酥脆卷) (¥25) – The sweet stuff ended up arriving first. The first to arrive were the crispy milk custard rolls we had last time.
These were pretty filling but I thought the crispy tubes worked really well with the milk custard. Pretty nice.
Mango pomelo sago cream (楊枝甘露) (¥38) – I wanted little guy to start the meal off with a bowl of congee and citing the hot weather outside, he wanted chilled soup, and a sweet one!
This kid sure knows how to enjoy his food!
Steamed rice flour rolls with assorted sauce (港式混醬腸粉) (¥25) – Something for daddy. Very lovely presentation and even came with some choy sum for a healthy balance. Not bad.
Steamed shrimp dumpling (招牌蝦餃皇) (¥33) – Little guy's favorite dim sum. This came
with some diced shrimps and bamboo shoot.
Xiao Long Bao (灌湯薑汁小籠包) (¥25) – How could I forget about his favorite soup dumplings!? He loves his pork soup and even with the extra kick of ginger, he doesn't mind it a bit. Well, this was OK but definitely not the best xiao long bao I ever had.
Even with just five dim sum, we had trouble finishing things up. As we'll be having a very early dinner tonight, we both agreed that it was time to return to the arcade centre for a few more rounds of games.
