For a moment, I thought we were not going to make it back in time before our car rental company closes at 9pm but the guy upstairs always seems to have our back. After missing a few exits that would lead us right to our hotel/car rental place next door, we were left stranded in the Shinagawa area but eventually managed to find a way home. No delay, no penalty, nothing. Just six really tired human beings all needed a rest. But oh yeah, we still haven't sat down for supper.
As usual, I was tasked to find our dinner venue for tonight and the writings were on the wall.....it had to be a place nearby. Thankfully, I was able to find Ginza Innit (ギンザ・イニット), just a block away from our hotel.

Seasonal vegetables and fruits salad (850 yen) – We first started off with something healthy, a starter dish with seasonal vegetables and fruits. I like the fact that there was minimal dressing on top so we could taste the veggies and fruits naturally.
Soymilk clam chowder (650) – Not as creamy and thick as most clam chowders but the use of soymilk helped from a nutritional standpoint.
Spicy chicken curry (2,000 yen) – The curry made with chicken thigh meat and bones tasted more like Indian curry than its Japanese cousin which we all enjoyed a little bit more.
Grilled salmon (2,200 yen) – This took a long long time to arrive and we were almost ready to ask for its cancellation.
I thought the salmon was easily the best dish of the evening (albeit not a very difficult dish t0 make). It was good to have more veggies in the form of grilled zucchini, mushrooms, eggplant, peppers and mashed potatoes.
Uji matcha tiramisu (660 yen) – A sweet end to a long long day. The staff here forgot to process the order and we ended up waiting for an extra 10-15 minutes.
The food wasn't bad but slow work/mistake by the staff cost us a good 30-40 minutes of waiting time just for the last two dishes (salmon and tiramisu). Definitely not the most memorable experience for us on this trip.
