I was attracted by its laidback vibe on the day we arrived and had been patiently waiting for the chance for a late-night visit. And tonight is the night with little nugget falling asleep early.
The selection of pastries at Cross Point Cafe wasn’t the best I have seen in Fukuoka but it covers a lot of ground. And if you’re a fan of Japanese inspired desserts made with local ingredients, you would fall head over heels with this place.
Green tea tiramisu (900 yen) - With multiple layers of green tea sponge and green tea flavored mascarpone sandwiched between each other.
What surprised me the most was the red bean paste and chunks of crushed red beans layered in the middle.
Fig tart (700 yen) - Love the short crust and the fresh figs were some of the juiciest ones I have seen (and tasted) in Fukuoka.
