Helmed by Executive pastry chef Francisco Somoza who has won numerous national awards including Best Master craftsman pastry of Spain (2007), Best Master craftsman pastry of Madrid (1997, 2007) and Winner of Spanish Chocolate Master (2011), it's not difficult to understand why it has quietly established itself as a fan favorite in Madrid (for breakfast and afternoon tea).

Madrid is a little behind when it comes to gluten-free bakery but they are showing signs of finally catching up. Thanks to the gluten-free desserts from Celicioso, they have been closing the gap quickly. The signature dessert is a special treat called panet, a hot brioche stuffed with ice cream and loads of funky toppings, almost like an ice-cream sandwich that is warm on the outside and cold inside.

La Casa de las Torrijas
Located within walking distance from Sol Station, La Casa de las Torrijas is a traditional Spanish restaurant and café known for its torrijas, the Spanish equivalent of French toast. While the best place to get a torrija would be at a Spanish grandmother's house, this is probably the second best option. As its name already suggests, it is "the house of Spanish fried bread". Their signature torrija comes in milk and sweet wine flavors.
