After years of renovation work, Migliore Hotel Myeongdong finally re-opened. Why would we care if we never consider staying here for this trip, you ask? Well, as it's conveniently located right next to Exit 6 of Myeongdong station, it would make a fantastic stopover on the way back to our hotel.
They have about three stories of reality dedicated to shopping and from the signage on the entrance level, I already spotted METCHA Café on the third floor.
METCHA (맷차) located near Myeongdong Cathedral, is one of the most popular hangout spot for matcha beverages and desserts in Myeongdong. We had the pleasure of having our afternoon tea session there on our last visit and I was keen to come back for more.
Matcha handmade cream (₩7,000) – No idea what is the difference between this and their matcha latte but I am assuming that this was simply made with matcha and milk, and no shot of espresso as the base.
I found this very thirst-quenching. With Seoul being surprisingly hot this week, it was exactly what the doctor ordered.
