Lady M South Beach (Singapore, SINGAPORE) ★★★★☆

Everyone was betting that I won't find a third afternoon snack this afternoon before dinner time. Sure that I didn't find anything I like at Raffles City after stops at Ya Kun and Da Paolo Gastronomia but there's still more to come on the South Beach side.



I managed to squeeze in some time to check out the Lady M Boutique right next to the Esplanade metro station. While I already had the pleasure of enjoying most of their offerings and mille crepe flavors (Rose, Earl Grey etc.) in Hong Kong, there was one single flavor which wasn't available home. That's the Sakura Berry mille crepes.

Sakura Berry mille crepes (SGD $9.50) - Sakura-flavored white chocolate ganache and dehydrated strawberries atop handmade crêpes layered with strawberry infused pastry cream.



Lady M's paper-thin crepes need no special introduction. Sandwiched between the twenty or so layers of crepes was silky smooth sakura flavored white chocolate ganache. I really like the nice balance of sweetness (white chocolate) and mild acidity (sakura) there. It's the perfect cure for the nasty heat. Sure, it's still not in the same league as my favorite Rose, Earl Grey or even the most recent Pistachio mille crepes but it's close.



I have just one more observation about this Lady M Boutique at South Beach. The vibe is pretty nice over here, plus the rectangular floor plan is a lot more, shall we say, "orthodox". That's a big improvement comparing to Lady M Central Orchard which was much more cramped.
