I thought I could avoid a trip to see my dentist but things just weren't looking good this afternoon. The only bright spot was that the dental office was right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, giving me every chance to check out some desserts in the area. At the end, I settled for a long overdue visit to the Lady M Boutique at Harbour City.
I have no idea what they have in store these days as I have been way too busy to keep up with the latest news in the culinary scene.
Dubai Chocolate Mille Crêpes ($118) – This is new! And I think this is the most I have ever paid for a mille crepes cake.
Topped with a layer of crispy kataifi drizzled with pistachio spread, tahini, and chocolate cream, the cake featured aromatic pistachio and velvety chocolate pastry cream nestled between each layer of handmade chocolate crêpes. I didn't think pistachio and chocolate would work well together but they proved me wrong. The flavors came together almost effortlessly.
