The kids absolutely love having hot pots in Shenzhen. Since there's a COCOFOUR Hainan Coconut Chicken (四季椰林海南椰子雞) located in the basement level of AVIC City Junshang Shopping Centre (中航城君尚購物中心), where we've been spending most of the afternoon, we decided to stop by for dinner tonight.
The popular hotpot specialist is of course famous for its clear broth made exclusively with coconut water, shredded coconut and chicken without preservatives.
We've visited several COCOFOUR locations in the past, each with varying reviews, but I have to say this branch at AVIC City Junshang Shopping Centre offers by far the best service. Check this out, our server diligently prepared the broth for us making sure that we didn't have to get our hands dirty.

Some highlights from our hotpot meal:
Fatty beef (火山肥牛) (¥49) – They offer two types of beef here and this was by far the better of the duo thanks to its succulent texture. Everybody thought the hand-cut one was a little chewy.
Deep-fried tofu bells (3秒響鈴) (¥16) – Always a crowd pleaser at a hot pot meal. All it took was three seconds!
Wild bamboo shoots (非遺龍鬚筍) (¥29) – Supposedly grown high in the mountains in a pollution-free environment. I love these crunchy baby bamboo shoots. Didn't think I have seen them in Hong Kong (of course, I don't eat out much in Hong Kong anymore).
