I promised little guy that I’d bring him to Toy R Us before our trip to France. This weekend would be our last chance to keep my promise, so I decided that we should spend a couple hours at Harbour City to get a few things done at the same time. Little one ended up choosing not one but three toys. With our mission finally completed, it was time for a late lunch…..at 3:30pm.
Instead of running around Harbour City looking for a lunch spot, I have already taken a ticket at Ohayo by ocio (おはよう) next to Toy R Us before our shopping started. Good thing that as soon as we got to the entrance of the Japanese-inspired restaurant, they just had a table ready for us. Talk about perfect timing.
Known for its variety of soufflé pancakes, waffles and shaved ice, Ohayo is a cozy space for a light meal, desserts and coffee. With all menu items affordably priced, I can see why people were so hyped up about this place. Now, let’s see if the portion also lives up to expectation.
Sicilian prawn pasta ($118) – This tomato pasta dish came with a generous portion of seafood including prawns, squid and clams, a bit like a seafood marinara (with bacon). That’s a pretty good bargain for $118.
Melon shaved ice with vanilla ice-cream ($78) – Little nugget was still over the moon with his three new toys so not surprising, he found his dessert to be extra sweet this afternoon. 🧑🏻🦱🧑🏻🦱
For once, we have a meal in Harbour city that’s easy on the pocket.
