No Milkshake No Life Hill Road (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★★☆

Little nugget has finally finished his final exams this week and guess what, we are now free of any examination for the foreseeable future until his second year of primary school life. That really calls for a celebration! Since the little one would be attending a birthday party in Sai Wan, I thought we should first grab lunch there before he got wild running around with his friends.



I picked No Milkshake No Life on Hill Road as our lunch venue for no special reason other than the fact that I thought we needed some comfort food after weeks of having pizza and junk.

I have always wondered how they could fit so much into this little space next to what used to be Lifetastic Cafe almost a decade ago.

Tropical coconut milkshake – I called this the mango pomelo sago cream milkshake (楊枝甘露奶昔) cuz it really tasted like one with all the flavors from coconut, mango and pineapple.

NMNL's wagyu cheese burger – One of No Milkshake No Life's most popular burger with Australian wagyu, cheese and tomato. No bacon though. This was an immediate hit until the latter arrived.

Signature pancake burger – It's my first time having this signature pancake burger and I must confess, I was impressed.

This was almost like a mille-feuille, with sunny-side-up eggs, soft and pillowy pancakes, portobello mushroom and bacon. It was finished off with a maple syrup sauce that was both sweet and savory. 

Not surprisingly, we all started abandoning our burger and fought for a piece of the pancake burger. It's really that good!

Afterwards, we have a party to attend. Little one seemed to be energized after the meal (and the fact that exam's over). He was seen running around like an energizer bunny throwing plastic balls at almost everyone including yours truly!
