Black Star Pastry at The Galeries (Sydney, AUSTRALIA) ★★★★☆

We had to venture back to Market City for dinner tonight. Getting off at Central Station would be the most time-saving way but since we still have another 30 minutes to spare, we decided to get off Town Hall instead.

Of course the first thing that came to mind at Town Hall was a visit to The Galeries as I wanted to check out Black Star Pastry at the book store. We had some amazing pastries there on our last trip in 2017 and I just couldn’t wait to return. The problem? The Black Pastry counter was gone! I had it pinned on my Google Map and didn’t have the chance to check if it’s still there.

After going online and checking from their official website, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the famed cake shop has now opened a boutique (more like kiosk) inside the same walls just a couple floors down.

Now that our spare time has pretty much evaporated, we only had time for a quick drink and Black Star’s signature strawberry watermelon latte was the perfect choice!

This looked gorgeous…

How can one not like a hot latte with both fruity and floral notes!? And on top of that, the lovely crunch from the crushed pistachio floating atop of the drink. Nice 👍🏻
