It was sad to see The Pantry & Chips Republic, one of our favorite burger and fries joint closed down at the Elements Mall but what we didn't know was the fact that it's only a relocation. The American-style burger cafe who also serves one of the best collection of milkshakes in the city, has moved into a bigger and better venue at MOKO in Mongkok serving an elevated version of comfort food with a modern Asian twist.
It was pure coincidence that we bumped into The Pantry & Chips Republic in MOKO following little nugget's class. But we were more than happy to have an early dinner to re-acquaint ourselves.
Ever since I introduced little one to his first milkshake, he's fallen head over heels in love with them. So, when he saw this Double Oreo milkshake on the drink menu, there was no way we could stop him ordering it on his own.

Caesar salad with chicken, cherry tomatoes, soft-boiled egg, crispy croutons and bacon kicked off the meal in healthy fashion. The lettuce which was both fresh and crisp, worked extremely well with the parmesan and there were plenty of them on top of the salad.
Little one has not forgotten about his favorite duck and waffle since his trip to London 2 years ago. This was carbon copy of that with a perfectly cooked duck leg confit, quail egg and egg waffle. Very nice.
Jelloman's eyes immediately lit up when she saw Korean food on the menu. Well, it's not exactly Korean food but another waffle that came with a Korean twist.
The same crispy waffle but this was topped with Korean fried chicken, melted Gruyere cheese and Korean chili paste on the bottom. That should help with her crave for Korean food (for the time being).
It was a pleasant surprise for us to run into the relocated The Pantry this Saturday afternoon and I can really see us coming here a lot from now on (especially when we haven't even touched on their Japanese souffle pancakes).
