Café Bohème (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★☆☆☆

I told Jelloman last week that I wasn't planning on going to West Kowloon Cultural District for the fifth straight weekend. It's getting a little boring. But just before the weekend, I was told we will be having a small birthday party on Saturday. Guess where?

My share of the birthday cake after we sang the birthday song.

The kids started running around as usual. That's why we were here in the first place.

That allowed us to sneak out and get some air. Perhaps, we could afford a late lunch too!

Café Bohème was our obvious choice since it's one of the few left which we haven't visited in the last five weeks.

Seafood Linguine ($148) - This came with clams, shrimps, tomatoes, parsley and tossed in a "provencal" sauce. The linguine itself was fine but you could tell the sauce came directly from one of those bottled sauce. This was.....meh...

Capricciosa Pizza ($148) - This came with toppings of mozzarella, tomato sauce, Italian baked ham, mushrooms, artichokes, olives and basil leaves. It was slightly better than the pasta (cuz I love artichokes) but just very barely.

Classic Tiramisu ($68) - I was trying to order this "to go" but was told by the server that it couldn't be done cuz the "shape" of the tiramisu would be ruined and the chef didn't want that (that's the exact words from my server). Obviously, the chef has a lot of passion and pride for his work.

This was easily the best dish of the afternoon. It's a little more custardy than I would like but the flavors were all there. Espresso, mascarpone and ladyfinger.
