Little nugget finally gets to meet his beloved friends. Due to the cancellation of English, drawing and drama classes, it's been a while since this group met up so needless to say, everyone was thrilled to see each other.
It's nice to spend a day here laying down on the turf without my face mask on.
I didn't get to order any food from Elements so it's down to the 5 or 6 restaurants here. Unfortunately, none of the eateries seems to welcome take-away orders on this day (except those selling drinks) so I ended up getting some food from Lau Bak Livehouse (留白) at Freespace (自由空間).
Lau Bak Livehouse is a small bar and performance space presenting music from Hong Kong and around the world. It's on the ground floor of Freespace where it's often called M+ Pavilion too, I think.
Apart from music, Lau Bak Livehouse also hosts workshops, film screenings and cultural events with their food and drink supplied by Mak’s Brewery.
I saw a lot of people getting their cold brew here on this hot and humid day but I was more interested in some savory food.
Creamy risotto with smoked salmon - Risotto not creamy at all and the smoked salmon, well.....hm.....disappointing.
Grilled halibut with spaghetti - The halibut had tons of bones in it and it's super soft and slippery. Didn't finish.
Green tea cheesecake - This came with a bit of red beans on the bottom. Likely the best dish out of the three so far.
Service was very friendly but this was nothing more than home-style cooking at best.
