Eric's Confiserie Baumann (Zurich, SWITZERLAND) ★★★☆☆

Just when we almost arrived in Zurich, a storm was coming generating heavy rain and we ended up hiding in the car in front of Eric's Confiserie Baumann for nearly 15 minutes. There was no sign of it slowing down at all so eventually, I was tasked with going inside to get all of us something sweet for tonight.



A member of Relais Desserts International, Eric Baumann is a well known figure in the dessert world for his work as a chocolatier and patissier.



It's almost 5PM so I didn't expect they still have all of their pastries around.



I went with their old-fashioned mille feuille and this cake they called Schwedentörtchen (translates into "Sweden tart").



Now that everyone is asleep, I can finally enjoy my Schwedentörtchen with some bubbly. This is primarily vanilla mousse with a simple fondant job on top. Pretty decent.
