Glace Bachir (Paris, FRANCE) ★★★★☆

Bachir has been selling traditional Lebanese ice cream since 1936.

Located just a few steps from Center Pompidou and Les Halles-Châtelet, Glace Bachir is the first ice cream shop in Paris to offer 100% organic ice-cream made with traditional Lebanese techniques.

Glace Bachir offers more than 10 different flavors (strawberry, coffee, pistachio, rose, apricot, lime, vanilla, intensely rich chocolate etc.) but it was their Achta ice-cream with pistachio coating that's the crown jewel here.

Our server first put a scoop of milk ice-cream on top of the cone before dipping it into the crumbled pistachios. At the same time, he tried to spin it once in a while to make them stick.

My Achta ice-cream ready to be served!

Trust me, the portion is HUGE~

I really enjoyed this. The crumbled pistachios provided the perfect salty topping for the creamy milk ice-cream.

My handsome boy decided he wanted strawberry ice-cream instead.

They have gluten free options available too and for those who are less conscious about health, some decadent milkshakes made with their ice-cream (combination of flavors totally up to you!).

I thought our first Lebanese ice cream experience went really well despite mom suggesting that the milk ice-cream wasn't as smooth and flavorful as the ones from Hokkaido (maybe true). I think mom is starting to have spoiled taste buds after all these recent trips.
