After spending a few hours at the Science Museum, we were all set to head home. But little nugget wasn't quite ready to do so because apparently, he was experiencing a snack attack. In our search for the perfect afternoon snacks, we took a slow walk back towards the K11 Art Mall where we came across a number of cha chaan teng on Cameron Road. One of those options was Yuen Long Bistro (元朗冰室), a place that I would gladly take a pass on thanks to a bad experience at their Prince Edward location but I wasn't the one making the call this afternoon.
Turns out everyone including little nugget was hunting for more than just a small snack. Jelloman and little one were sharing a bowl of noodles and look at that thick garlic toast which came with the set.....it was surprisingly good.

I was looking for something a little lighter - deep-fried chicken leg and French fries 😜. The chicken leg wasn't definitely not bad but I prefer those with a crispy batter which would add a bit more texture to the mix.
Little guy looked absolutely stunned when he saw the French toast.
It's BIG......
The hot milk tea passed with flying colors.
At the beginning of the year, I've set a target to visit 100 different local tea restaurants in the city (since I love the local food culture so much!) and it looks like I'm well on my way to achieve that target.
P.S. This is the perfect venue for you night owls out there. Closing time of 3 a.m.
