La Patisserie des Idees (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★★☆

I was back in D2 Place for a couple of things and somehow my sweet tooth led me back to La Patisserie des Idees. I guess it's a return visit that has been long overdue. 

There aren't a lot of cakes here that I haven't had the chance to taste yet, perhaps with the exception of the white peach cake and red melon cake only.

Melon Rouge ($46) - This looks pretty good. 

Underneath the thin layer of green ganache were silky smooth white chocolate mousse and a delicate red melon cremeux. There was the small sponge cake hidden in the middle along with a chocolate crunch down on the bottom providing some different bites to the cake. I like this combination a lot. It's sweet but not too sweet as a whole, and as always, the refreshing cantaloupe melon very delicate to the palate.
